Designing a new condo with Feng Shui

Designing A New Condo with Feng Shui

You can apply feng shui when you are designing a new condominium.  Here are some tips for how to design a condominium with feng shui.

1.  Make certain that the lot that you are building on is level, and forms a rectangle or a square.  If possible, get one with a view of the water.

2.  Make certain that your front door is easily accessed from a road, but don’t make the path to the door a straight line.

3.  You should only have one front door, not double or more than one front entryway.

4.  Don’t make a rock garden or any other obstructions near the entrance to your condominium.  Make certain that the hedges are neatly trimmed.

5.  Take a look at a ba qua chart and you’ll be able to select the room placement that will give you the most harmony.

6.  You want to have high ceilings that are well lit.

7.  You don’t want to have long corridors or floor plans that are cramped or awkward.  Give the placement of your windows, stairways and doors special attention.

8.  Don’t have strong overhead lights or color schemes that are dark and monotonous.

9.  Have lots of open space and clean lines.  You want to make sure that your new condominium is free of debris and clutter.

Listen to the instincts that you have when you are placing your rooms, and make certain that when it’s complete that you hold a celebration to honor it.
