Fountains and Feng Shui

The use of fountains is very popular with feng shui, because water is something that is widely known as the symbol of prosperity and abundance.   It’s also been scientifically proven that they help to get rid of strong and negative ions that are in the air, and they will help to put humidity in the air, which could be useful for condominiums that are very dry.

When you are purchasing a fountain, you should consult your Bagua map, because that will help you to determine where the fountain should go. But there are two places that you should never place a fountain.

The first place is in the southern part of your condominium because that is the area that you will find to be linked to your reputation, standing, and your fame.  This area is also linked energetically to fire. When you place a fountain there, you’ll be dousing the positive energy of that area.

You also don’t want to put the fountain in your bedroom.  Although the sound of water is relaxing, it will make you worry and you will not be able to get a good night’s sleep.

But when you find the perfect spot for the fountain, you might also want to add stones or crystals, or get a fountain that allows you to put essential oils in the air through diffusion.  This will help to increase the output of positive energy from your fountain.
