How Feng Shui Helps in Schools

Feng shui can also be used to help your child with school.  Here are some tips for helping them with their schoolwork using feng shui.

1. Make certain that they have a desk

Your child’s room should have a lamp, a chair, and a desk, because when the child has a specific area to use for study, they are more prone to studying.  If possible, place the desk facing the northeast, because that is the direction of learning and wisdom.feng shui

2.  Give them the world

A globe in their room will encourage good study habits; put it in the northeast part of the room if its possible.

3.  Recognize their achievements

Make an area of their room where they can put things up that show their accomplishments, such as good papers, recommendation letters, trophies, ribbons, or awards.  This should be put on the south wall.

4.  Crystals

Hang a crystal above the location where the child studies, and it will encourage more study chi.

5.  Don’t build a wall around them

Instead of having their desk face the wall, have it face the door.  That way they can see when someone enters and they don’t feel as if they are facing an obstacle.

6.  Map it out

Maps are something else that helps a child stay focused and make them want to know more about their world. 7.  Remove the television

If your child has a television in their room, remove it if they are doing poorly in school. It is a distraction and will keep them from getting a decent rest and studying.

8.  Use shells and fish in decorating

Koi, goldfish and conch shells are all symbols of success in education.  You will want to put the conch in the corner of the room where your child studies, and you can also put a pictures of goldfish or koi on the wall.   Don’t put live fish in the room because when you have water in the bedroom it means loss.
